GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Bishop David L. Ricken officially opened the Jubilee Year of Hope with a Mass at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay. The Mass that took place on Monday, January 6th, also marked the 25th anniversary of Bishop Ricken’s episcopal ordination by St. John Paul II in Rome on January 6, 2000. NFL Foundation, Packers, & Bellin Health provide CPR and AED equipment to area schools Bishop Ricken was one of 12 priests ordained that day as bishops for the New Evangelization and was sent to share the gospel globally.
