Sheriff: 20yearold Wisconsin woman arrested for OWI after swerving to miss a deer

HANEY, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in western Wisconsin announced that a woman was arrested for OWI after swerving to miss a deer which resulted in a crash.
The Crawford County Sheriff's Office posted on its Facebook page about a crash on December 21 around 2 a.m. It was reported that authorities responded to a single-vehicle crash on WI-STH 131.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as a 20-year-old woman from Wisconsin, swerved to miss a deer and ended up crashing into a ditch, according to the release. The woman reportedly had minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Officials say the woman showed signs of impairment and was arrested for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. It was also mentioned the vehicle is thought to be a total loss.
