APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - Last week, the Appleton Police Department said goodbye to K-9 Zuul as he completed his final shift on the force.
According to a Facebook post from the Appleton Police Department, Zuul has put in many years of hard work and dedication. They say he is now officially retired and will start a new life at home with his handler, Sgt. Zieman.
Appleton PD highlights that Zuul was more than just a working dog; he was an important member of their police force, playing a vital role in keeping the community safe.

Zuul has been deployed to many crime scenes, including one from 2020 where a suspect was arrested after attacking an officer and fleeing. The report says that Zuul assisted in taking the suspect into custody.
Law enforcement went on to thank K-9 Zuul for his loyalty, bravery, and friendship. They hope his retirement is filled with love, relaxation, and plenty of belly rubs.
