FOREST COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Forest County Sheriff's Office was alerted by the Brown County Sheriff's Office about a suicidal suspect who was armed with active warrants. According to a Facebook post from the Forest County Sheriff's Office, after initially failing to locate the suspect, deputies tracked their phone to the Township of Alvin. Two people and a UTV rescued after falling through ice in Wisconsin, driver arrested for first OWI offense Deputies reportedly found the suspect and his vehicle, where it was confirmed he was armed with a handgun and possibly other firearms. Negotiations took place as backup arrived with an armored vehicle after the suspect tried to flee into the woods.
