Staying cold, a few more snowflakes coming this week
Jan 06, 2025
Our stretch of cold weather continues. The next 10 days will be below freezing at all points of the day. Highs will be in the 20s with lows in the teens and, sometimes, in the single digits.
Some WANE Weather Watchers have had to do some shoveling today with 2"-3" of snow in a few spots.
For this evening, our temps have started off in the 20s and we fall to 15° for our morning low by daybreak tomorrow. A northwesterly breeze brings a slight chance for some occasional, scattered snow showers.
With these winds continuing tomorrow, and a weak disturbance moving through, a few more snowflakes may fall on Tuesday, though only light snow accumulations are expected. High temps will be in the upper 20s.
With the cold air hanging around, we have the chance for some more snowflakes this week.
The slight snow shower chances will continue on Tuesday night and on Wednesday. Any new snow accumulations will remain on the lighter side and will not have major impacts on travel - or our driveways.
Highs will be in the mid-upper 20s from Tuesday through Friday.
More snow shower chances come on Friday to wrap up the work week. Highs in the 20s continue over the weekend.
We've picked up more snow by January 6 this snow year than last year, but we're 6" below average to date.
