Motorcyclist identified in fatal crash on Exchequer Drive in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office has identified the victim of a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle that occurred early Monday morning.
According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office (EBRSO), deputies responded to the scene around 6 a.m. in the 6900 block of Exchequer Drive. Investigators say a vehicle turning into a driveway collided with a motorcycle traveling northbound.
The motorcycle driver, 37-year-old Anthony D. Chandler, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities do not suspect impairment at this time, but the incident remains under investigation.
Earlier, officials reported that the decedent's identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin. The coroner’s office and EBRSO vehicles were observed at the scene, along with red crime scene tape.
