BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A man is dead after being assaulted in downtown Bakersfield early Sunday morning, according to the Bakersfield Police Department. The man is identified as Rolando Anaya, 46, of Bakersfield. Officials say Anaya was assaulted in the area of 19th and K streets around 1:30 a.m. Medical aid was administered but Anaya was pronounced dead at the scene.
