LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- The winter storm that moved into the DMV on Monday wasted no time having an impact on air travel at the D.C. areas major airports. Flights scheduled between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) saw 65 delays and 148 cancellations prior to the 7 a.m. hour. That number grew to 339 cancellations and 368 delays for flights scheduled between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. How much snow did DC get? Roads in the area of IAD were covered in snow in the early morning hours of Jan. 6. Each airport reminded travelers to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport and to monitor updates.
