TOPEKA (KSNT) - City crews are working nonstop to clear residential streets in Topeka. City of Topeka spokesman Dan Garrett told 27 News on Jan. 6 that city workers expect two to four days to address all the streets in Topeka. He said crews will make one pass through each street they can safely access. On Sunday, Jan. 5 the city reported it was working with 24 snow removal trucks. Garrett said cars parked on the street could get snow-packed or make it impassible for snowplows. "We appreciate everyone's support and patience as we work to clear the 3rd largest snowfall in Topeka history," Garrett said. "We also encourage residents to park vehicles off the street, if possible. Parked vehicles may make it difficult for our trucks to navigate." Arctic air stays in place for the week ahead More updates are expected throughout the day on Jan. 6. For more local news, click here.
