ONSET, Mass. (WWLP) - Multiple businesses in a strip mall on Cranberry Highway in Onset are now without a storefront after a four-alarm fire tore through the building on Sunday.  Assistant Fire Chief Howard Andersen says crews were called at around 11:38 a.m. for a fire alarm system alert and a caller reported a fire at 3086 Cranberry Highway. Upon arrival, heavy smoke could be seen coming from the multi-unit commercial buildings, everyone was able to evacuate safely. The Massachusetts Department of Fire Services Hazardous Materials Response Team was called due to a large quantity of Lithium-Ion batteries in one of the businesses. A firefighter was injured and was treated and later released from Tobey Hospital.
