HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Hartford police are investigating a homicide involving a father and alleged son at the Travel Inn Motel Saturday morning. The call came to police at 11:00 a.m. of two men allegedly fighting in a car outside of the Travel Inn Motel on Weston Street, police said. When police arrived, the driver, a man in his 70s, was found unresponsive with multiple stab wounds. The passenger, a man in his 40s, was the victim's son, police said. "First responding officer arrived on scene very quickly. Observed that there were two males in the vehicle, one unresponsive as the officer approached the vehicle. A male, later identified as our suspect, exited the vehicle. He was quickly detained," said Hartford Police Lieutenant Aaron Boisvert.   State stresses importance of Connecticut safety app Police believe the suspect, 49-year-old Raybin Hokim, stabbed his father, multiple times.Investigators say the victim, 78-year-old Vincent Hokim of Middletown, was picking up his son from the motel before the argument. "We do believe he was staying there,” Lt. Boisvert continued. “We think he was leaving and his stay there was done. That's why his father was there. But a lot of that is speculation at this point. We're still trying to put those details together."  Police are working to learn why the two were fighting. Investigators do know the victim and suspect do not live in the city but are Connecticut residents.  Police say the suspect cooperated with police when they detained him.
