This took place on August 23, 2024. Officers were near the Hilton hotel off of Central Ave and Broadway Blvd. They were attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a white Tesla but, that's when they say, the vehicle accelerated forward. In the video, the vehicle can be seen swerving around the first police car, before striking a second vehicle and pushing it into a third police car.

According to police, the driver was Leann Aragon. Aragon has a history of hitting police vehicles. In September 2017, police say Aragon struck a police unit responding to another call in the downtown area, in a stolen car while running a red light. And in July of the same year, Aragon also almost ran over an officer who stopped her.
Aragon is charged with aggravated battery on a peace officer.
