Santa Fe Fire Department reunited with first fire truck
Friday, police responded to a Speedway gas station on Sawmill Rd. and St. Francis Dr. to a possible fuel theft. Officers found Alfredo Fonteboa-Hechavarria, who was filling up his truck. Police say Hechavarria had altered a fuel pump so the pump would dispense more fuel than it could calculate. He is also accused of putting another fuel tank in the bed of his truck to get more fuel.
Officers say the suspect had done this multiple times over the past several weeks, totaling more than $20,000 in stolen fuel. Hechavarria and his wife, Dania Guerra, were arrested and face several charges.
