CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Metro Richmond Zoo has released the name of its new pygmy hippo after votes were collected through a poll. The public picked "Poppy" as the hippo's name, which was announced by the zoo in the morning on Monday, Jan. 6. The baby hippo was born on Dec. 9 to parents Iris and Corwin, according to the zoo.
