MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A 16-year-old boy is now recovering after being shot Sunday evening at a South Memphis gas station, police say.
Officers say they were called to the Marathon gas station on 2306 Lamar Avenue regarding an aggravated assault around 4:50 p.m.
Video footage from the scene showed a sliver Mazda backed into a parking spot at the gas station and a black Nissan sedan parked at a gas pump.

The driver of the Nissan is seen on video getting out and walking to the driver's side window of the Mazda and they begin talking. That is when police say the passenger sitting in the Nissan got out of the car with an AR pistol.
As the victims in the Mazda began to drive away, officers say the suspect with the AR pistol started firing several shots at the Mazda.
Police say the victims got away driving west on Lamar Avenue and Airways Boulevard. The abandoned Maza was left on the east side of the median at the intersection of Lamar Avenue and South Parkway facing north, according to police.
Video footage from a traffic camera showed the males in the Mazda getting out and running west toward Lamar Avenue behind the businesses.
