LTU officials say you should use caution and watch for slick spots, especially on untreated and refrozen surfaces. Lincoln received between half and inch to an inch or slightly more, depending on location.
Snow totals were much heavier over far southeast Nebraska from the weekend winter storm. Between five and five-and-a-half inches of snow fell around the Beatrice area. About 6 inches was reported in Fairbury, while further east in the Falls City area, two public reports ranged from a foot to 16 inches.
It’s going to be bitterly cold today and much of this week. Meteorologist Taylor Nicolaisen from the National Weather Service in Valley tells KFOR News you’ll need to bundle up and wear layers each morning. With the wind, the temperature will be zero degrees to five-below zero each morning, with the wind chill factor between -15 to -20.
