Multiple fire departments in Wisconsin battle house fire, use around 22,000 gallons of water

KANSASVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in southern Wisconsin battled a house fire and used around 22,000 gallons of water to help out the fire.
According to the Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department, on January 4 around 11:30 a.m., crews were sent to a reported fire in the 4200 block of Stormy Drive. It was mentioned that the residents of the home were evacuating as crews were on their way.
When authorities got to the house, heavy smoke was seen and other fire departments were requested. Officials say about 22,000 gallons of water were used to put out the fire.

The release says the fire is believed to have been caused by the improper disposal of fireplace ashes. The two residents of the home were reportedly accounted for and were not injured.
Multiple agencies assisted in putting out the fire. No additional information was provided.
