NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - The North Charleston Police Department arrested a man accused of driving under the influence in the wrong lanes of I-26 last week.
Rashaun Scott, a 28-year-old man, was charged with DUI for his fourth offense and taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center.
During the early morning of December 28, officers received reports of a truck traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-26. One officer entered the interstate and observed the vehicle approaching him.
Officials said the driver then made an illegal U-turn to head westbound. The officer activated his blue lights and the driver pulled over to the shoulder.
North Charleston PD conducted the arrest during their "Sober or Slammer" campaign.
