MARYLAND (DC News Now) -- With more than five inches of snow expected to fall across the DMV, the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) announced that services on the MARC Train will be suspended on Monday, Jan. 6.
The announcement came just before 9 p.m. on Sunday after snowfall totals increased and the Federal Government closed.

The MARC Train will not operate on the following routes on Monday:
MARC: BRUNSWICK - WASHINGTON
MARC: PENN - WASHINGTON
MARC: CAMDEN - WASHINGTON
Officials said station maintenance teams, contract operators, and host railroads would work to restore service once it is safe. A decision about the MARC Train's service on Tuesday will be made on Monday evening.
