What We’re Tracking
Partly cloudy, cold Monday
Very cold first half of the week
Moderating temperatures next weekend
Very cold air in place at the start of the week, bringing single-digit lows with wind chills near 10 to 15 degrees below zero. With the storm system now well to the east, winds will start to taper off today along with a partly cloudy sky.
That cold air lingers through much of the week. The snow on the ground will have a difficult time melting much even with sunshine. Highs will generally be in the upper 10s to near 20° through midweek.
By the weekend, temperatures should be climbing to near or just above freezing for a couple hours each day. Aside from some clouds and a slight chance for a few snow showers on Thursday, the week ahead is looking mainly dry.
