PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Pawtucket man is facing charges after officials say he stole a Providence police cruiser and led Connecticut State Police on a chase this weekend. State police say 27-year-old Jared Remson was spotted in the stolen vehicle on I-95 near exit 89 early Saturday morning before taking exit 88 in Groton and heading down route I-17. They also say he was driving at over 100 miles per hour. Ledyard police eventually stopped the cruiser, and Remson was taken into custody.
