PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Pawtucket man is facing charges after officials say he stole a Providence police cruiser and led Connecticut State Police on a chase this weekend.
State police say 27-year-old Jared Remson was spotted in the stolen vehicle on I-95 near exit 89 early Saturday morning before taking exit 88 in Groton and heading down route I-17.
They also say he was driving at over 100 miles per hour.
Ledyard police eventually stopped the cruiser, and Remson was taken into custody.
Remson is due in court later today.
