SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Springfield community gathered tonight for a celebration of Three Kings Day. In many Latin American cultures, the Epiphany, or Three Kings Day is a particularly important holiday. The holiday celebrates the moment that the three wise men visited Baby Jesus and presented him with gifts. Many gathered at the Venue, known as 'Ivy's events' in Springfield for the Christian feast day, eating food, dancing, and listening to music. There was even photo opportunities with the kings. "I'm just so really proud that the traditions are really just kept alive. And a lot of the families really want their children to be able to experience the whole Fiesta de los Reyes Magos. Leaving boxes of hay outside and grass. So it's it's a great tradition to keep alive," said Owner of 'Ivy's events', the Venue. Three Kings Day is offically observed Monday, January 6th.
