Bitter Cold Week
Jan 05, 2025
The cold air we had in place this weekend will only get colder as we go through the week ahead. Monday morning starts us off in the teens with even colder wind chills. Sky-wise, expect a mix of clouds and sun as the snowstorm that pummeled the Ohio River Valley emerges in the mid-Atlantic, spilling clouds into Southern New England. No precipitation is expected, just the clouds. Monday afternoon highs will be near 30, but the light northwesterly wind will make it feel even colder. Tuesday morning will be even colder and the winds will pick up, making for morning wind chills in the single digits. This wind-chilly mornings trend will be here every day through Thursday. Sunshine and highs in the uper-20s can be expected through Thursday as well. Friday will be sunny and much warmer with highs in the mid-30s. Next weekend holds more cloudiness for Saturday with seasonable temperatures. Sunshine should be abundant for Sunday.
