*Marshall County originally said that two people were killed and three people were injured. They have since said that there were just two other victims.* MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Two people were killed after a fatal car accident in Marshall County on Saturday night, the Marshall County Sheriff's Department confirmed. Just after 8 p.m., deputies responded to a multi-vehicle accident on Dockery Drive and St. Paul Road. Multiple victims were found on the scene. Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson issued the following statement about the crash: An investigation is ongoing by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department following a fatal two-car motor vehicle accident which occurred at approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025 in Byhalia, Marshall County, Mississippi.  Preliminary results of the investigation indicate that a 2020 GMC Acadia being pursued by a Byhalia Police Department Officer collided with a 2015 Ford F150 near the intersection of St. Paul Road and Dockery Drive. The driver of the GMC SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.  The accident also claimed the life of one of the passengers in the Ford pickup while the driver and one other passenger are listed in critical condition at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee." Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson The two victims who lost their lives were Michael Crutcher, 63, from Collierville, Tennessee and Jaqua Blueitt, 30, from Byhalia, Mississippi. The two other victims were taken to Regional One Hospital and are in critical condition. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
