The No. 4 ranked University of Hawaii men's volleyball team completed a season opening series sweep over No. 20 McKendree on Sunday in a three set victory at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
The Rainbow Warriors improved to 2-0 on the season with a 25-20, 25-19, 25-16 victory.
UH was led behind a pair of freshmen pin-hitters as Kristian Titriyski had 17 kills, while Adrien Roure recorded 13 kills of his own.
Sophomore setter Tread Rosenthal had 40 assists with six digs and two aces.
For the match, Hawaii hit .463 with just nine hitting errors on the night.
Up next for the Rainbow Warriors will be two matches against Harvard set for Wednesday and Friday. Both matches will start at 7:00 pm at the Sheriff Center and will be televised on Spectrum Sports with radio coverage via ESPN Honolulu.
