WILLISTON, N.D. (KXNET) — Sometimes, seniors separated from their families or in care facilities need a little bit of extra love from their communities. This is where a new program from the Williston Community Library comes in to help unite those in need of warmth this February with members of their community. According to a Facebook post from the library, beginning on Monday, January 6th, the Valentines for Seniors Creation Station will be open for children to craft handmade cards using markers, stencils, glue sticks, and decoration bags. Multiple card types, including blanks, will be available for children of different skill levels. Teens and adults, meanwhile, can also assemble their own card kits, or sign messages in pre-made cards at the library. All cards will later be delivered to assisted living and nursing homes in the Williston area.
