McLean, Va. (DC News Now) -- The National Park Service (NPS) said that the northern section of George Washington Memorial Parkway, from 495 to Spout Run, is closing at 6 p.m. on Sunday due to the winter weather.
NPS said the closure is vital to ensure crews can properly treat the road and restore it to make sure it is safe for drivers once it reopens.
