(KRON) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred in Santa Rosa on Saturday night.
At 10:10 p.m., CHP officers responded to southbound Highway 101 near south of Steele Lane for the report of a crash. CHP said a male pedestrian was lying in the roadway and may have been hit by a vehicle.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, according to CHP.
CHP said the suspect’s vehicle was not located at the scene and CHP had limited information on the vehicle. The department said they shut down the left two lanes for the investigation.
