Colts outlast Jaguars 2623 in overtime in season finale

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Colts beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 26-23 in overtime at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday afternoon to finish the season 8-9.
Matt Gay kicked a 38-yard field goal on the first possession of overtime, then Zaire Franklin sacked Mac Jones for a big loss on Jacksonville's possession to secure the win
Joe Flacco started at quarterback for an injured Anthony Richardson, who sat out for the second straight game with back spasms. Flacco finished 23 of 40 for 264 yards and one touchdown.
Jonathan Taylor had another huge game at home, rushing for 177 yards on 34 carries and a touchdown.
Both teams scored touchdowns on their first possessions. The Colts scored in just three plays. Flacco found Drew Ogletree for 21 yards, then Michael Pittman, Jr. for nine yards before hitting a big play to Alec Pierce for a 40-yard touchdown.
The Jaguars' opening touchdown was more methodical, as they drove 70 yards in 10 plays. Tank Bigsby scored from a yard out to tie the game at seven.
Jacksonville took the lead early in the second quarter on a Cam Little 53-yard field goal. The Colts responded with a six-yard Taylor touchdown to take a 14-10 lead.
The Colts extended their lead to 17-10 on a 49-yard Gay field goal. The two teams exchanged field goals in the last 1:25 of the half to make the game 20-13 at halftime.
There was no scoring in the third quarter. Jones threw an interception to Julian Blackmon. The Colts had the chance to turn the takeaway into points, but Gay missed a 51-yard field goal.
Jacksonville tied the game in the fourth on a Jones to Parker Washington nine-yard touchdown pass.
The Colts answered right back with a Gay 45-yard field goal to retake the lead before the Jaguars tied the game again on a Little 53-yard kick with under two minutes to play.
The Colts will miss the playoffs for the fourth straight season, so changes may be coming over the next several weeks, possibly in the the front office and with the defensive coaching staff.
