Heavy snow continues falling across Central Indiana this afternoon causing slick roads and several accidents. Several counties have upgraded to travel advisory with a handful under a travel watch. Marion Co. was upgraded shortly after 4:00 Pm to a travel advisory. Snow reports have also started to come in with Shoals recording 5.6" of snow and here at our Fox59/CBS4 studios, we have recorded 4.5". We still have several hours of heavy snow to go making travel very slick through the overnight hours. When it is all said and done, we believe several places will be over the double-digit snow totals and a few places south of Indy could see nearly a foot. Winds are also expected to pick up over the next several hours, making travel difficult if not impossible in a few locations. Tonight is a night to stay inside and don't go out unless you absolutely have to.
