WILLISTON, N.D. (KXNET) — The North Dakota Library Association (NDLA) has chosen the Williston Community Library's director as their latest president. The NDLA is a professional group representing libraries of all kinds in North Dakota, and members include library staff and fervent supporters. According to a Facebook post from the Williston Community Library, director Andrea Placher has been awarded the position of NDLA President, and will serve as such throughout 2025. Cass County road closed after vehicle fire In addition to congratulating Andrea on her new role, The post notes she is a perfect choice for the position due to her long experience in the organization. She has served as a member of the NDLA since 2015 in a variety of positions, including New Member Round Table Chair and Public Library Chair. "Serving is at the core of our mission in libraries, and by taking on these roles, we can ensure Williams County has a voice," states the Williston Community Library in the post.
