Winter storm latest updates: Almost all departing, arriving flights canceled at CVG

A Winter Storm Warning is in full effect around the Tri-State as snow and ice move through the area over the next 24 or so hours. Get the latest forecast and timeline for the storm.The storm is impacting the Tri-State in several ways, including snow emergencies, travel advisories and more. Here are the latest updates:6:35 p.m. Almost all flights departing and arriving to CVG Airport have been canceled. Click here for the latest flight statuses. 6:25 p.m. A crash in Grant County, Kentucky that shut down all northbound lanes of I-75 has cleared, according to KYTC. 6:20 p.m. Rumpke Waste & Recycling told WCPO that it's continuing to monitor road safety and conditions, and it has yet to make a final decision about Monday's services. Updates will be added to Rumpke's website.6:15 p.m. All southbound lanes of I-71 remain closed at the on-ramp to the Brent Spence Bridge due to a back-up of semi-trucks. 5:05 p.m. A jackknifed semi-truck has closed down all northbound lanes of I-75 in Grant County, Kentucky. Motorists on I-75 North are able to bypass the crash by taking Exit 144 and then continuing straight at the stop sign to the I-75 northbound on-ramp. 4:45 p.m.A massive backup continues along southbound I-71 across Fort Washington Way due to a cluster of stuck semi-trucks on the on-ramp to the Brent Spence Bridge. The backup has stretched through the Lytle Tunnel and up the southbound lanes of I-71 by the Hard Rock Casino. 4:10 p.m. The backup from I-71 southbound on Fort Washington Way to the Brent Spence Bridge continues as several semi-trucks remain stuck on the on-ramp. 4:05 p.m.UC Health has canceled all outpatient appointments and surgeries set for Monday. UC Medical Center and West Chester Hospital are remaining open for emergency services. 3:55 p.m.Cincinnati Public Schools has announced it will be closed Monday. Read the full list here. 3:48 p.m. Dozens of schools have already announced they will be closed tomorrow, including Sycamore, Loveland, Kenton County and more. Read the full list here. 3:45 p.m.Most LaRosa's restaurants will close at 4 p.m., the pizzeria announced. Check with your local restaurant to see if they remain open. 3:30 p.m. Boone County, Kentucky has increased its snow emergency from a Level 1 to a Level 2. Residents are asked not to drive unless it's essential travel. 3:20 p.m.A semi-truck is blocking all of the southbound I-71 lanes from Fort Washington Way to the Brent Spence Bridge. https://x.com/wxSpinner89/status/18760066319658844493 p.m.The City of Cincinnati announced that its Over-the-Rhine Recreation Center will be opening as an emergency warming center beginning Monday at 10 a.m. Multiple Metro buses are having issues in the snow along Gilbert Avenue. Snow is falling at a rate of 1 inch per hour as it moves toward the Cincinnati metro area. As this continues, visibility will continue to be impacted alongside road conditions. 2:15 p.m. Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announced that he's opening up the county's Emergency Operations Center for the duration of the winter storm. 2 p.m.Kenton County increased its snow emergency from a Level 1 to a Level 2. This means drivers in the county are urged to limit travel to only essential activities. Butler County and Hamilton County in Ohio have also implemented Level 1 snow emergencies, asking drivers to use caution while traveling. 1 p.m.Several Tri-State counties, mostly in Northern Kentucky, have issued snow emergencies. The snow emergencies in Northern Kentucky come after Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency Saturday in preparation for the storm. As of 1 p.m., Kenton County, Grant County and Boone County are under a Level 1 snow emergency. Campbell County, Gallatin County and Dearborn County, Indiana are under Level 2 emergencies. Drivers under Level 1 emergencies are asked to use caution due to hazardous road conditions. Those under a Level 2 emergency are urged to limit travel to essential, life-sustaining activities only.
