FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) -- The Fall River Police Department said that their Fallen Officers’ Memorial was vandalized on Saturday morning. According to a post by the department on social media, around 11:30 a.m., a man used yellow spray paint to vandalize the statue and granite memorial stone. "This memorial is not just a structure; it represents the bravery and sacrifice of our dedicated law enforcement officers who have served and protected our community," part of the post read. Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect, who was last seen walking north on Fourteenth Street leaving the area.
