Winter storm cancels flights, trains, travel plans across Kansas City metro
Jan 05, 2025
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Extreme winter weather and Blizzard Warnings have halted travel plans across the Kansas City metro this weekend.
Starting on Saturday afternoon, freezing rain coated cars, roadways, train tracks and runways with a thick layer of ice. Then, as we looked into Sunday morning, heavy winds and snow began piling up, leaving some parts of the metro with chances of 10 to 15-inch totals by Monday morning.
