BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- An early morning fire on Sunday caused an estimated total of $130,000 in damage to a Buffalo home and displaced three people, a city spokesperson announced. Fire crews responded to the fire just before 6:30 a.m. at 887 East Eagle St. Officials said the fire is believed to have started on the second floor of the residence and quickly extended to the attic. The flames were contained by fire crews, but the side of the building suffered a partial collapse. The fire caused an estimated damage of $100,000 to the structure and $30,000 to its contents, officials said. A demolition was requested. Two adults and one child were displaced by the fire and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
