What We’re Tracking Blizzard waning tonight into Sunday evening Heavy snow likely on Sunday Cold wind chills following the storm A BLIZZARD WARNING is in place until Sunday evening. Expect significant to near impossible travel conditions through Sunday. Be prepared for winter weather and plan ahead. Freezing rain will start to transition into sleet then snow through the early hours on Sunday. A layer of ice up to ¼" of an inch, possibly up to ½" for southern areas, is possible before the changeover occurs. After that, heavy snow and strong wind could lead to whiteout conditions during the day on Sunday. Several inches of snow is expected especially for those north of I-70. Locally higher amounts are possible. Much colder air will move in at the start of next week, bringing single-digit lows with wind chills near 10 to 15 degrees below zero. That cold air lingers through much of next week. KSNT Storm Track Ashton Rizzo
