CLAREMONT — Claremont police Saturday arrested a man believed to have burglarized six businesses over three nights, along with a woman who allegedly possessed stolen property.
The commercial burglaries occurred during nighttime hours between Thursday and Saturday, according to a statement from the Claremont Police Department.
Four burglaries occurred in the 800-900 block of west Foothill Boulevard, near Mountain Avenue. The other two happened in the 700 block of south Indian Hill Boulevard, at San Jose Avenue, police said.
Detectives and officers followed leads they obtained while investigating each burglary, which led them Saturday to identify the suspect as a 30-year-old Covina resident. They located him at a Claremont hotel, according to police.
The man was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary, grand theft, theft with priors and possession of stolen property. A woman, a 28-year-old from Upland, was also arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property.
Detectives executed a search warrant at the hotel room and found stolen property, including items believed taken within the prior 48 hours, police said.
