Man shot and killed in Temecula residence, suspect arrested

A 22-year-old is suspected of shooting and killing another man in Temecula on Saturday, according to investigators.
Around 5 a.m., Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for an assault with a deadly weapon in the 32900 block of Josheroo Court, south of Highway 79 and west of Redhawk Parkway. The caller, identified as Micah Harris from Temecula, said he had just shot another man in the residence, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Upon arrival, deputies located a dead man inside the residence. Several other people were also located at the property, according to the release.
Harris was later arrested and booked on suspicion of murder. There are no other known suspects, the release said.
Authorities were withholding the identity of the victim pending notification of next-of-kin. Further information on the circumstances of the shooting was not immediately released.
