SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Fourteen people have been arrested following a SWAT situation early Saturday morning. The Santa Fe Police Department (SFPD) says it all started after they received a call about a man who had been taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police say the victim, who is expected to be okay, was at a home on Camino del Bosque, near Zia and Rodeo, when he was shot. When police went to the home with a warrant, the people inside refused to come out.

That's when the Santa Fe Police SWAT team was called in. "So SWAT responded, did a number of attempts to get the occupants to come out of the house. The standoff lasted roughly four hours before they were able to get the occupants to comply and come out of the house," says Chief Paul Joye with SFPD.
Of the 14 people arrested, two were juveniles. Joaquin Archuleta, 49, who police say is responsible for the initial shooting, was one of those arrested. Archuleta is facing aggravated battery and other charges.
Police are still investigating why there were so many people in the home at that time.
