Berserker ride to be removed at Kings Dominion
Jan 04, 2025
DOSWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- The Berserker ride at Kings Dominion is slated for removal prior to the opening of the 2025 season, according to a spokesperson for the amusement park.
According to Kings Dominion's website, the Berserker ride is a looping pirate ship that swings back and forth in a pendulum motion, gaining speed and altitude with each cycle.
With each cycle, the ride eventually reaches the top of the 360-degree loop and pauses, suspending riders upside down for a moment before completing its rotation.
This comes after Kings Dominion announced that its Anaconda ride will also be removed prior to the start of the 2025 season.
In July 2024, Six Flags and Cedar Fair, the owner of Kings Dominion, announced a completed merger between the amusement park companies.
