We are continuing to monitor an impactful weather system for Indiana Sunday night into Monday. In the south of our viewing area, a Winter Weather Advisory is active from 7 PM Sunday to 10 AM Monday. WANE-15 will continue to keep you updated with the latest. Snow will be possible throughout the day on Sunday, but the heaviest snowfall will be overnight, where a Winter Weather Advisory is active from 7 PM Sunday to 10 AM Monday The best chances for snow will be to the south of Fort Wayne, specifically Grant, Blackford, and Jay counties, where 2-4 inches and even 3-6 inches will be possible. There is a wide range of snowfall possible in northeast Indiana over the course of this event, ending on Monday With the uncertainty in this low-pressure system's track comes another uncertainty. The system will have a sharp snow gradient, meaning there will be a large change in snow totals over a short distance. Where this occurs will determine what side of the totals Fort Wayne will see. Currently, the potential still exists for Fort Wayne to get up to 3". However, the best chances will lie in the south. Up to an inch will be possible north of the Fort. Our southern areas will see the most snow, with the greatest uncertainty lying in our central counties.
