Frozen Bizon races return to Minot

MINOT, N.D. (KXNET) — Bikers in search of a chilly challenge this winter may want to visit Minot next weekend- as the Frozen Bizon fat tire bike race promises a thrilling journey through one of the Magic City's most tricky trails.
According to the race's event page, the festival will take place on Saturday, January 11, around the Bison Plant trail. Races available during the event include the namesake Frozen Bizon three-hour endurance race in all genders and ladies categories, two 'Baby Bizon' races that run for half the time, and a 2.5-mile snowshoeing competition. A post-race meal will also be provided to all participants.

Below is a list of rules and regulations for those seeking to participate.
Tires must be at least 3.7'' wide, and tire pressure must not exceed 8 PSI. Exact specifications may change on race day.
No hiking is allowed on groomed trails.
Any passing attempts must be courteous in nature.
Snowshoeing against traffic is permitted, but those doing so must yield to cyclists.
Online registration for the races ends on Wednesday. January 8, at 5:00 p.m., and has a total registration limit of 100. Pre-race registration and check-in will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Bison Plant trailhead, and close at 11:30 p.m. before the competitions begin at noon.
