All lanes closed on I64 West in Goochland County due to overturned tractortrailer

GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- All westbound travel lanes on a section of Interstate 64 in Goochland County are closed due to an overturned tractor-trailer on Saturday morning.
At around 3 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, the Virginia Department of Transportation reported that all westbound travel lanes on I-64 in Goochland County near Oilville Road were closed due to an overturned tractor-trailer.
At around 9 a.m., the department said the travel lanes are expected to be closed for an extended period of time with traffic being diverted off I-64 West at Exit 173.

According to Virginia State Police, at around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, a two-vehicle crash including a tractor-trailer took place in the westbound lanes of I-64, causing the tractor-trailer to overturn.
The tractor-trailer was reportedly hauling gasoline, which spilled onto the road following the crash and caused the road to be closed for an extended time as crews began clean up.
State police said the driver of the truck was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, drivers should seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
