LEDYARD, Conn. (WPRI) - A Pawtucket man was arrested in Connecticut after allegedly stealing a Providence police cruiser and leading officers on a chase. Investigators say they were contacted by Providence police that a stolen cruiser was on I-95 south crossing into Connecticut at around 2:30 a.m. When police in Connecticut spotted the vehicle, a chase ensued, but the suspect was stopped by Ledyard, Conn. police. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Jared Remson of Pawtucket, was arrested and charged with reckless driving, engaging police in a pursuit, failure to drive in a proper lane, larceny, and interfering with an officer/resisting.
