SCSO: Man arrested for causing overnight multivehicle crash

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man is arrested after Shelby County Sheriff's Office deputies said he caused a multi-vehicle crash after driving under the influence early Saturday morning.
At approximately 3:35 am, SCSO Deputies responded to a multi-vehicle crash in the 4300 block of Northwood Hills Drive near Raleigh.
Deputies say the crash involved six vehicles and began when a vehicle struck a parked car, pushing it into two additional parked vehicles.

The driver then left the roadway, crashed into a garage and collided with a vehicle inside.
The driver, identified as 45-year-old Rico Henderson, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Methodist North in stable condition.
Following an investigation by SCSO deputies, Henderson was charged with multiple offenses, including Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Violation of the Open Container Law, Striking a Fixed Object, Public Intoxication, Driving while License Suspended / Revoked/ Cancelled, and Reckless Driving.
