18 arrests made but no major incidents occurred in Uptown during New Year’s Eve celebrations

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Eighteen people were arrested and six firearms were seized but no major incidents occurred in Uptown during the New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Of the 18 arrests, eight were adults and 10 were juveniles aged 10-15 years old.
CMPD officers also conducted 10 home visits on prior juvenile offenders and none of them re-offended on New Year’s Eve.
The juvenile charges include violating Youth Protection Ordinance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said all parents or guardians of the arrested juveniles were charged with contributing to the delinquency and neglect by parents.
Below are the eight adults arrested:
Murray Edwards, 42, is charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Disorderly Conduct.
Rassell Young, 18, is charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Resist/Delay/Obstruct and Possession of Marijuana.
Jergio Jesus Pavon-Reyes, 18, is charged with Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
Kaheem Brower, 28, is charged with Affray.
Donaven McCoy, 29, is charged with Affray.
Dashawn Douglas, 29, is charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
Treshawn Goff, 27, is charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
Genesis Roland, 19, is charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Resist/Delay/Obstruct and Possession of Marijuana.
