COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A man with dozens of criminal charges dating back to 2000 was arrested at the start of 2025 on seven new charges from last year. Franklin County court documents say that 43-year-old Linwood Allison Jr. was arrested Thursday for three counts of felonious assault, two counts of theft, aggravated menacing, and domestic violence stemming from multiple incidents. The first came on March 18 when Allison Jr. was accused of his first count of theft at a store in the University District. He and another suspect allegedly stole two Goyard tote bags and a figurine, worth an estimated combined value of over $12,500. The three charges of felonious assault stem from an Oct. 28 evening incident in southeast Columbus when Allison Jr. allegedly fired a gunshot towards a woman and her two children just before 10:45 p.m., per Franklin County court documents. Allison Jr. has dozens of criminal cases in Franklin County municipal court with multiple charges of theft, domestic violence, and being a fugitive from justice. He also has several convictions and guilty pleas in common pleas court. Court documents say he was arraigned Friday and is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on Jan. 10.
