President Biden is hosting a ceremony Saturday to award 19 individuals with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, honoring a slew of prominent figures in politics, fashion, entertainment and activism. Among the most prominent names listed are former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, philanthropist George Soros, conservationist Jane Goodall and science educator Bill Nye. He will also posthumously honor four individuals: Robert F. Kennedy, who served as attorney general; Ashton Carter, who served as Defense secretary; George Romney, who served as governor of Michigan; and Fannie Lou Hamer, a civil rights activist who founded the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party. Vice President Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff are also expected to attend. The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EST. Here is the full list of awardees. Watch the live video above.
