Cloudy and mild to start the weekend. Highs climb into the low 60s this afternoon. A few areas of drizzle and mist will be possible today but most locations will remain dry. A big weather change is on the horizon for Sunday. A strong cold front will push in, bringing tumbling temperatures and strong northwest winds through the day. Temperatures will start in the 60s early Sunday, and drop into the 40s by afternoon. There’s a brief chance of a shower early Sunday. Higher chances will be in far East Texas. Once the cold air arrives Sunday afternoon, it will stick around for several days. Highs are only expected to be in the 30s and 40s next week! Low temperatures will be in the mid to upper 20s. This will be the coldest air of the season so far! As far as precipitation is concerned, there’s a slight chance for some light wintry precipitation Thursday or Friday.
