The City of Trenton announced it is seeking five citizens to serve on its new Animal Welfare Advisory Board.
The board will advise on animal care at the Trenton Animal Shelter (TAS), develop solutions to animal welfare issues, and work with residents, businesses, and community groups.
“We’re excited to bring together a diverse group of citizens who care deeply about animal welfare,” said Mayor W. Reed Gusciora. “This board will help ensure that Trenton continues to prioritize the well-being of animals and creates effective solutions for our community.”
The board members will focus on improving animal care, public safety, and reducing unwanted pet populations.
The city seeks applicants with experience in animal care, animal control, law enforcement, or related fields.
